Ohhhhhhh Outside Lands, you've stole our hearts (and filled our tummies). My two younger sisters and I took on the three day festival with eager and empty stomachs, and oh what a satisfying weekend it was, in every way.
I will start off by saying Outside Lands is my kind of festival as they have a tent entirely dedicated to vino. Understandably so, as SF neighbors wine country . But seriously, one of my biggest concerns at concerts/festivals is the vino running dry, so in this regard Outside Lands FOR THE WIN(e).
Awesome. Filled with lots of wine, beer, egg rolls, bahn mi sammies, the beautiful vocals of George Ezra, reuniting with my younger sisters (though missing our eldest Queen), and finishing off the day with a [Mumford &] Sun-set (sorry couldn’t help myself with that pun). Post-festival we somehow had room for more and devored some dank courses at Chubby Noodle in the Marina (PSA: if you can’t finish all your pork fried rice, take it to go. The next morning heat it up in a skillet, throw a fried egg over it, BAM. So dope, can’t go wrong).
Front and center for Milky Chance, das all you need to know. But seriously, a great moment to be shared with the sisters. Lots more wine paired with a bomb chez plate from Cheese Lands, burratta truffle (heaven). Plenty more egg rolls, sweet potato tater tots, donut cheeseburgers. Blacked out from eating so many delicious “snacks”, worth the food coma for sure.
More food, more wine, more beer. The pizza was worth $7 a slice, I will confess. Fried noordes, three rounds. Waffle fries with ridiculous toppings, BEC’s around 5pm because we do what we want. Sam Smith and his newly slim physique could have joined us for a donut cheeseburger or two (just kidding Sam, you're killing it). Elton John, chilling in the grass taking in the last moments of the festivial. Hold me closer tiny dancer, my sunday scaries are in full swing as we top off our last glasses of wine and head back home.
Until next year Ranger Dave, we will be starving ourselves.

HAPPY FOURTH Y'ALL xx
Having recently moved to San Francisco, I have learned there is SO much to do here: Farmer's markets, hiking just fifteen minutes from my apartment, hunting for that perfect view you "have to Instagram", wine tastings, and even parties such as "Goat Festival" aka Goatchella. But the one event, or should I say three events, I look forward to each week is the food truck festival put on by Off The Grid every Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. I recently attended their Thursday event, Twilight at the Presidio.
On Thursdays, they set up cabanas and fire pits you can reserve for a fee or it's first come, first serve (but believe me you'll want to reserve because they are hot, hot, hot). I was able to snag a fire pit with eight friends where you can text a number and a waiter will come over to get your drink orders, um, yes please. This is the tech hub of the country after all, we should expect perks such as cocktail delivery by now. Right?
Next dilemma: which food truck shall I pick? There are up to 22 different choices including Vietnamese, seafood, Indian, South American, Asian fusion, Italian and even more. My favorite trucks so far have been Lobsta Truck (gotta get the roll), Cheese Gone Wild, and The Taco Guys. While you take in the sunset overlooking the water, listen to the live music, and hang out with your friends, this is truly a must-attend event to scare off the work days. I will definitely be going back with entourage, dog and all, and a fire pit of course.
Check out Off the Grid: Twilight at the Presidio (Thursdays, 5-9 pm), Fridays at Fort Mason (5-9pm) & Picnic at the Presidio (Sundays, 11 am- 4pm). More importantly, don't forget to track the food trucks everyday throughout the Bay Area on offthegridsf.com.
Whats the best way to spend a rainy and cold Tuesday afternoon in NYC? How about a sushi making class, but made with all candy?! Last night our sweet tooth was in heaven as we sipped champagne and learned how to make our very own Candy Sushi with the lovely Lee Manne, owner of Stieber's Sweet Shoppe in West Village. Lee opened up Stieber's on Bleecker Street in August 2014. She is the niece of the founders Larry and Susan Stieber, who opened the company's first shop two years ago in Roseville, California.
Stieber's is so charming and has a GREAT selection of sweet treats. Ranging from jelly beans to chocolate covered rice crispy pizza’s and of course Candy Sushi! This sushi is perfect for sweet lovers instead of sea lovers, and also makes for a great solution to Sunday sushi scaries (rumor has it sushi is least fresh on sundays). So if you’re like my sister and her boyfriend, you’ll opt out of real sushi and go with Stieber's candy sushi; made up of rice crispy treats, marshmallow fluff, nerds, fruit rollups, and swedish fish. You really can’t go wrong. We had so much fun and can’t wait to come back (I’ll need refilling of my favorite Aussie licorice bites from Stieber's!). Thanks so much for having us Lee and Rachel! Stay sweet :)

We could not be more obsessed with JARS by Dani. These little Jars are not only adorable, but seriously delicious. Its the perfect amount of sweetness to get you through the week. I don't know what it is about these Jars, but they just go too well with my glass of red wine each night after work. Who needs dinner? It could also be because they just look really effing cute together.
Dani and I collaborated for a Valentines days JAR/FITA shoot. Because, lets face it, those jars are meant to be held in the air. Valentines day can be rough and is just too much pressure all around. So Dani and I decided to have a little fun with the hallmark holiday and prove that all you really need to get thru are some Jars and wine. Who says you can't go buy yourself twenty pink and red balloons and sit up on your roof chugging Rose and eating JARs? No one. Treat yourself this Valentines day ladies, because you know what...we deserve it. You boys reading can go buy yourself a case of beer and some balloons too if you'd like to join the party. As long as you have the essentials (girlfriends, jars, wine, balloons, and an IDGAF attitude) you can make this holiday your b*tch. We had so much fun shooting, and after about 5 freezing cold hours up on her rooftop in UWS we cozied up with, you guessed it, JARS & rose (yes we drank rose pretending we were basking in the sun on sloppy tuna beach instead) to end the day.
We hope you enjoy the photo's! Happy Valentines Day from FITA and Dani!
Check out the rest of the photos from our Valentines shoot here!
Big thanks to my good friend Eric for helping out! Check out his website!
Wings. Aren't we always on the hunt for the perfect wing? For the wing that will make your sunday that much less scary? For the wing that will make watching your team win THAT much better? Theres a lot that goes into finding your perfect wing and satisfying the wing needs of all your friends as well. What if there was a place where you could choose a mild buffalo wing versus a hot buffalo wing, or a garlic parmesan wing with a basil pesto dipping sauce? OR the biggest debate, ranch versus blue cheese?! What if I told you there was a place that combines both blue cheese & ranch. Well look no more!!! International Wing Factory on the Upper East Side is our new wing heaven! Their wings vary from every heat level of buffalo to vietnamese chile mango! And wait till you try their panko encrusted brownie for dessert...TO DIE FOR! Not only does this spot have a plethora of wings to choose from, they also have 14 DIPPING SAUCES...let me repeat that again, FOURTEEN!!! They also have sandwiches, fries, burgers, vegan soy nuggets, the list goes on and on! And to top it all off, the owners could not be friendlier and more welcoming.
So the short of it is, if you like a variety when it comes to your wings and your desired dipping sauce...look no more. This place KNOWS how to do wings, just the way you like it.
